History of Brevard Court
Built between 1851 and 1924, Charlotte became part of the "New South"--dominating as an industrial center in North Carolina. Charlotte's growth came from Cotton Mills, and during that time Brevard Court was an open air trading post for textiles and cotton because in order to assess the quality of the cotton natural light was required. Over the years, not much has changed because it still feels like your grabbing a beer in a cotton market!
